Nancy Blachman's Birthday Party/Conference

I want to celebrate my upcoming birthday with people who are special to me. I'm arranging a celebration party/conference at the Asilomar Conference Center in Pacific Grove, which is on the coast just north of Monterey, California, from mid-afternoon on Friday, the 9th of June till after lunch on Sunday, the 11th of June, 2006. I'm planning to have activities for children as well as adults.

According to their website, "Asilomar a charming ocean front retreat nestled along the shoreline of the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary. This enchanting combination of forest and white sand beaches creates a breathtaking tranquil escape from the hectic pace of everyday life."

Accommodations at my birthday party/conference run $50/night/adult and $25/night/child (3-17 years old) for shared room and $150/night/adult for a private room. I encourage you to share a room so that more of my friends can spend the night at the Asilomar Conference Center and so that you can get better acquainted with other friends of mine. Travel grants and housing allowances are available. Let me know if you need one or both.

Email nancy -at- googleguide.com or respond to my evite before April 10th if you are interested in attending the festivities part of a day or the entire three days.

I will be posting information about my party/conference at www.googleguide.com/birthday.html and emailing those who express interest in attending.

For my birthday present, please give a talk, lead a session, chair a panel, sing a song, lead an activity, give a slide presentation, or bring something else amusing to share with the other participants. I would appreciate your emailing me what you are considering sharing and for how long so that I can start putting together a schedule for the weekend.
